Common reasons for diversion

– Lack of concentration during the meeting

Effects of Diversion
• Loss of productive time
• Delay in meeting the required objective
• Loss of effort and economy
• Sometimes irrecoverable effects such as contract and tender notice meetings

How to avoid diversion
• Make sure you write the name of the topic prior to a discussion.
• Have around 6~8 people to ensure that the topic always stays relevant.
• Make charts ahead of a meeting.
Precautionsto be taken
• Switch off mobile phones during a meeting
• Ensure that all the people attending the meeting come right on time
• Don't stretch the meeting for over 45 minutes to ensure that there is sufficient concentration
• Schedule the meeting during early hours of the day.
